About Alexis Llamas
My purpose is to power high quality, equitable learning environments for young people to thrive and maximize their agency and voice. My 15 year-long career began in youth development working with hundreds of youth and families in Oakland Chinatown where I led program management, professional development, and community building efforts. I’ve supported also young people as a philanthropic leader with the S. D. Bechtel, Jr. Foundation where I invested in the capacity of national, nonprofit youth serving organizations and elevated their impact in youth educational systems. These organizations collectively serve nearly 50% of school age youth in America. Currently, I\'m excited to be working directly with SF/Bay Area youth leaders in their leadership and civic engagement as they learn, reimagine, and lead toward a thriving democracy. Needless to say, I am passionate about youth-centered educational ecosystems, social and emotional learning, and trust-based partnerships and collaborations. My specialities include: Strategic Grantmaking, Youth Development, and Inclusive Facilitation. I invite you to connect with me to explore how we can work together!
