Executive and board member with academic training in neuroscience (UPenn, Stanford). Founded, launched, and led clinical stage rare disease company ($SPRB) which went public in 2020. Negotiated in-license of lead asset (small molecule from Eli Lilly) and raised a total of $28M from VC as CEO,$88M as a board member. Built out team and cultivated network of consultants to support efficient operation. Led program through US and EU regulatory engagement and submissions (pre-IND, IND, scientific advice, SME status, orphan designation) and successfully launched 5 clinical programs (including 2 Phase 2 programs) as well as associated CMC and non-clinical activities. Ultimately brought drug through proof of concept with data presentation at the National Endocrine Society prior to the company’s 2020 IPO.
