Sinai BioDesign’s Projects are focused on Neurosurgery application but can be correlated with other departments at Mount Sinai.Duties and Responsibilities:• Manages projects within a comprehensive pipeline of innovation at Sinai BioDesign, coordinating projects, setting goals, milestones, deliverables.• Develops comprehensive analysis and documents of proposed projects for review by leadership and the innovation pipeline committee.• Provides engineering and project leadership within the BioDesign process used by SBD, and provides feedback to consistently improve engagement, design, engineering, communications, and IP-related tasks. • Interacts directly with physicians and researchers to understand their ideas. Develops engineering and market analysis strategies providing insights into the commercialization of medical devices.• Summarizes, validate and contextualizes clinical problems and their technical solutions within the framework of improving healthcare.• Provides useful insights regarding the effect of FDA regulation on engineering medical devices. • Conducts comprehensive analysis of medical device industry and medical technology development. Identifies opportunities for technology development.
