SKILLS
ABOUT ALEX GUFFEY
At Disney, I work as a Senior User Experience Designer bridging design, development, and product strategy to create products that scale. I focus on unifying design across a vast organization, turning scattered efforts into cohesive systems that empower teams, improve adoption, and elevate how products and platforms are imagined and delivered. My background in both UX and front-end development helps me translate between disciplines, giving me a full-view perspective that makes collaboration and communication clearer at every level. Some of my most visible work includes leading Aloha, the custom WordPress system now powering dozens of Disney Experiences websites, and shaping Magic Door, Disney’s enterprise UI component library. Both initiatives standardized design practices, reduced duplication, and accelerated delivery across teams. Aloha became a showcase for enterprise storytelling, featured in the keynote at WordCamp US 2024, while Magic Door continues to evolve as the foundation for developer-focused tools. Together, they reflect my approach of positioning design as a strategic partner that drives outcomes, not just interfaces.
