   Biweekly payroll processing for all employees, including exempt and non-exempt staff, orchestra musicians, substitute musicians, as well as recording applicable payroll-related journal entries and reconciliations.• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and city payroll regulations, maintaining necessary tax registrations and preparing required reports.• Review and validate invoices and expense reports for accuracy, prepare payables through the accounting software, and execute weekly payments via ACH, credit card, check, and wire.• Act as the primary resource for payroll inquiries, coordinating with the Human Resources department as necessary.• Supervise and be a resource for the Accounts Payable Specialist.• Liaison for outsourced payroll company in maintaining and implementing necessary system updates for compliance with employment policies and procedures for payroll.• Handle day-to-day accounts payable inquiries, conducting research as necessary to resolve issues.• Contribute to monthly close activities, including, but not limited to monthly credit card reconciliations, recording all payables payments, and coordinating with other staff to ensure timely and accurate entries are made to maintain accurate balances.• Design and implement procedures to ensure vendor records are kept up to date and comply withreporting and filing needs.• Key support for the annual financial statement audit and lead on 403(b), Workers Compensation, and General Liability audits.• Coordinate union reporting and inquiries, and payment remittance as necessary.• Various tax filings, including 1099, 1042, and coordination with outsourced payroll to process W-2 filings.
