Serial Entrepreneur | Emmy® Award winner | XR Producer | Startup Advisor | Community Builder | BC 30 Under 30 | Alex Chuang is the Co-founder, GM/Head of 3D of Shape Immersive, an award-winning AI and 3D studio that helps leading brands connect with Gen Z and Gen Alpha with virtual flagship stores, gamified brand experiences, and 3D eCommerce solutions.He is an Emmy-winning XR producer who has worked on 65+ immersive projects for top brands like Sephora, Red Bull, Olympics, Renault, Coca-Cola, and web3 leaders like RTFKT (acquired by Nike), Star Atlas, and Animoca Brands. Prior to founding Shape Immersive, Alex was the Co-founder & Chief Strategy Officer of Launch Academy, Western Canada’s leading tech incubator that helps over entrepreneurs validate their ideas, raise money and get customers. Prior to Launch Academy, he founded a crowdfunding platform called Weeve, which was acquired in 2013. In 2015, he was recognized for Best in Social Entrepreneurship by Notable Awards and was also named Top 30 under 30 by BC Business.Alex is also the Co-president of Vancouver VR/AR Association and chairs the advisory board at Open AR Cloud. He is also the co-organizer of AWE Nite Vancouver.Alex writes on Medium and is a contributor to TechCrunch, StartupGrind, and The Startup.Alex received his Master of Management degree from UBC Sauder\'s Robert H. Lee Graduate School. He has also completed his UX training from General Assembly.
