ABOUT ALEX BURNETT

Alex is a composer/sound designer for Games, Film and TV and a member of BAFTA Connect. Currently, he is working as Composer on Nightingale (PC), a new shared world survival crafting game by Inflexion Games (Edmonton-based studio founded by ex-Bioware devs). Recently, he also worked with British game studio Frontier Developments (Planet Zoo, Planet Coaster, Jurassic World Evolution 1/2) writing music for F1® Manager 2022 (PC, PS5/Xbox Series). As well as music/sound design, Alex is also skilled in arranging/orchestration, audio editing and mixing. Alex has a Bachelor\'s Degree in Music, and a Masters in Composition for Film and TV from the University of Bristol. He has years of experience writing music and designing sound for a range of different media. Some of the other video games he has scored include sci-fi puzzle-platformer \'The Mimic\'(PC), educational children\'s app \'Bean & Gone: PlayPatch\'(Mobile) and Midnight Mood Studio\'s neo-noir co-op detective game Antioch: Scarlet Bay (PC/iOS/Android). Alex worked on both the music and sound design for La Belle Games/ARTE\'s narrative adventure \'The Wanderer: Frankenstein\'s Creature\'(Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox, PC, Mobile) for which his work was nominated in the category of \'Best Soundtrack\' at the Ping Awards 2020. Alex\'s film and TV work includes scoring BBC Earth award-winning ZSL wildlife film \'Giants on the Edge\' and medieval fantasy series \'9Realms\' for which he received a nomination for Best Original Score at the international film festival Los Angeles CineFest. He also has experience working as music arranger/director on a number of TV shows including BAFTA award-winning The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan, The Last Leg and All Star Happy Hour where he collaborated with artists including Bastille, Shaggy, UB40 and TLC. Other notable film/TV clients include Panasonic UK and Channel 4. He has also written numerous production music tracks which have been featured in everything from TV documentaries to adverts (most recently his music was featured on an HMRC radio ad). Alex has recently worked and is currently working on a number of high profile projects including Nightingale in development by Inflexion Games and F1® Manager 2022 which was developed by Frontier Developments. Alex\'s latest project \'Nightingale\' is headed for an Early Access release in Feb 2024.
