   Collaborate with students, families, and across departments to meet students’ mental, physical, social, and academic needs through consistent communication, timely follow-up, advocacy, and student-centered practices- Establish productive, trustful relationships with students using listening and empathy- Respond to ever-evolving needs of students and families from logistical conundrums to mental health crises to support students’ journeys toward their best selves- Facilitate multiple counseling groups focused on developing skills for success through discussion of executive functioning, goal-setting, and study skills as a Tier II academic intervention- Collect data to innovate counseling group practices and freshman/transfer student programming- Catalogue detailed notes of all interactions with or about students to inform future interactions and maintain thorough, accurate records- Design and deliver an hour-long training for the Student Services department to develop a deeper understanding of the multi-faceted issues LGBTQ+ students face and how to support them- Contribute post-secondary guidance for a diverse range of students including a large proportion of first-generation college students through learning their goals, collaborative research, and sharing resources so students have all the tools to achieve their definition of success.
