ABOUT ALEXANDRIA BYNUM

I am Alexandria Bynum. I attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where I majored in Accounting with a minor in Management Information Systems. I graduated May 13, 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the Turner’s School of Accountancy in the Belk College of Business. I have completed my MBA at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke with graduation in May 2024.I am preparing and sitting for the CPA this year. My passion for math and business led me to pursue a future in Accounting as an Audit professional. I was selected to attend KPMG’s Embark Scholars Program during Summer 2020 with rotations in Audit, Tax, and Advisory. I was an Audit Intern for KPMG US in Summer 2021 and 2022. January 3, 2024 I started full-time at KPMG in the Audit Practice.During my time at UNC Charlotte, I was a Resident Advisor (RA) for three years. In that role, I was responsible for administrative tasks provided by my supervisor, communicating with my residents and staff, monitoring the halls for safety, and meeting with residents during the semesters. Over the years, I have learned how to adapt to the virtual experience by scheduling my tasks using several Google Calendars for classes, assignments, meetings, and RA related activities. Staying organized is a key part of my success, I was able to allocate my time to complete everything proficient.I served as the Vice President of Social Events for Future Leaders of Accounting (FLA) and member for 4 years. I assisted in speaker meetings with companies, such as Duke Energy, JELD-WEN, LPL Financial, and Honeywell. In addition, I encouragged our members to find internships in industry accounting. This role has allowed me to grow as a public speaker and network with accounting professionals. Aside from my professional endeavors, I enjoy working out, healthy living, and providing educational resources to others. I am passionate about education and helping others reach their highest potential. My favorite quote is by Maya Angelou “When you know better, do better”.
