ABOUT ALEXANDRIA S.

Alexandria is a passionate YMCA leader dedicated to building community, promoting accessibility, and supporting mental health. She recently joined YMCA Canada as Project Coordinator for World Council 2026, where she will work on the planning and execution of this global gathering in Toronto. This role reflects her commitment to fostering connections and inspiring collaboration on a global scale. With over three years of experience on the Advancement team at the YMCA of Greater Halifax/Dartmouth (most recently serving as Director, Major Gifts and Stewardship) Alexandria has spearheaded initiatives that bring members, donors, and community partners together in meaningful ways. In 2023, her team earned the \'Small Budget Star\' award at NAYDO for the Everyone Has a Story campaign, showcasing her ability to drive innovative, impactful fundraising efforts. Alexandria’s expertise spans fundraising, project planning, stakeholder engagement, and governance. She has been actively involved in the formation, recruitment, and coordination of Advisory Committees. Her dedication to empowering young leaders and creating barrier-free, inclusive spaces underscores her work across all areas of the YMCA’s mission. Beyond her YMCA roles, Alexandria has completed her term as a Board Member with the Maritime Conservatory of Performing Arts, where she championed accessible arts education and supported the development of community resources. She values the relationships she’s built within the community, which continue to inspire her commitment to creating positive, lasting change.
