ABOUT ALEXANDRE K.

I am an environmental engineer by education, with an MBA focused on Business and Finance Management. Although my data career formally began later, data has always been at the core of my work—whether as a Project Engineer and Consultant, as an Implementation Manager in logistics, or, more recently, as a Data Engineer and Analyst in the insurance sector.I strongly believe that data is the foundation of sound decision-making; without it, decisions rely solely on \"Bauchgefühl\".Currently, I design, build, and maintain data pipelines using Matillion as the orchestrator and Snowflake as the Data Lake—a platform in which I am Snow ProCore certified. Leveraging SQL and Python, I have defined and implemented data quality and governance standards that are now adopted across our projects, including data backups, deduplication, pipeline and data quality monitoring, and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) management, as well as best practices for Snowflake-native features.On the analytics side, I develop dashboards and reports using BI tools such as Amazon QuickSight and Power BI to support operational and management teams in making data-driven decisions. In addition, I build AI agents using Snowflake Cortex AI and Snowflake Intelligence which answers complex questions in natural language.On my personal side, besides passing quality time with my wife and our two amazing boys, I like to watch a good movie, read and talk to friends. In my \"me\" time, I put miles on my running shoes.
