ABOUT ALEXANDRA THURMOND
Alexandra Thurmond is a film and creative director making work that is rooted in relationships—our relationship to ourselves, to each other, to ideas, and to the world around us. She creates visceral worlds for her subjects to inhabit, exploring these dynamics in ways that often hint at the surreal or slightly off kilter. With a background in both editorial and agency work, she brings an emphasis on storytelling to each project. From chronicling Mustafa’s heartfelt songs of faith and mourning for YouTube’s ‘Artist on the Rise’, to questioning the existence of a parallel universe in the evocative short film ‘Songs from Scratch’ for adidas. Her portfolio includes films, podcasts, and 360° campaigns for clients like Spotify, Fender, YouTube, adidas, and SoundCloud, and has been recognized by both Tribeca X and The Webby Awards. A music obsessive, music videos will always be her first love. She’s collaborated with artists including Kehlani, U2, King Princess, Deb Never, and Audrey Nuna.
