ABOUT ALEXANDRA POPA

Alexandra Popa is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in investments, corporate matters such as shareholder programs and financings, strategic partnerships and governance. Currently serving as Vice-President, Corporate Affairs and Investments at Pomerleau, Alexandra brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role, driving strategic initiatives and overseeing transactions. With a career spanning over 17 years, Alexandra has held significant positions at prominent organizations. Prior to her current role, she spent a decade at Ivanhoé Cambridge, where she advanced from Legal Counsel to Director of Legal Affairs, Investments. Her tenure at Ivanhoé Cambridge was marked by her adept handling of complex legal transactions and her leadership in international investment-related legal matters. Alexandra’s legal journey began at Société Générale Corporate and Investment Banking in Paris, where she specialized in global transaction payment services. She also gained valuable experience as a private practice lawyer in Montreal. Alexandra is a Certified Corporate Director (ASC) and a member of both the Quebec Bar and the New York State Bar Association. In addition to her professional achievements, Alexandra is dedicated to giving back to the community. She has served on the Board of Directors for the Association of Corporate Counsel and the Fondation Dr Clown, contributing her expertise to support various initiatives. Trilingual in Romanian, English, and French, Alexandra is known for her strategic vision, leadership, and commitment to excellence in the legal field.
