Committed to cultivating a more diverse and inclusive workforce. Ali Metzl represents private equity funds, other financial sponsors and their portfolio companies as well as entrepreneurs and business owners in a wide variety of business transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, follow-on investments, internal reorganizations, divestitures, minority investments, equity financings, corporate governance advice and management equity arrangements. Working with companies of various sizes across a range of industries, Ali has a particular focus on the consumer products industry with a substantial number of her clients being women-founded businesses and financial investors who share that investment thesis. Ali combines an unmatched attention to detail and responsiveness with a genuine enthusiasm for and understanding of her client’s needs.Also focused on advancing the recruiting, retention and promotion of women and diverse attorneys and policy advisors, Ali is Chair of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Brownstein. Motivated daily by racial, gender and societal inequities, she strives to remove obstacles that inhibit the growth and success of all individuals within the firm, the legal industry and in her community. She founded and chairs the firm’s Women’s Leadership Initiative, which provides mentoring, networking and programming for female attorneys and policy professionals. She also founded and chairs the firm’s Committee on Diversity, Inclusion and Equity, the governing body for Brownstein’s diversity and inclusion efforts.
