Within this role, much of my client base consists of contract workers who often use tax efficient payment vehicles which have traditionally been misinterpreted by mortgage lenders. Whilst contractors who approach the banks and building societies directly to obtain mortgage funding are usually met with an adverse lending decision, I utilise my knowledge of the methods through which contractors pay themselves and engage directly with high level individuals at the banks to ensure that they understand the true risk involved in lending to a contractor. I take a hands on approach to fact finding and establishing the individual needs and circumstances on my clients, where I will research the whole of the mortgage market in order to make the most suitable recommendation to meet their requirements.
