My dissertation investigates how short-term, dialogue coaching interventions impact adolescents\' sense of agency and coherence, measured by statements like \"I feel in control of my life\" and \"I know who I am.\" I compare the efficacy of strengths-based coaching versus values-based coaching and use external assessments as a starting point because, as a rhetorical resource, they provide a common language with which to explore narrative identity.
