About Alexandra Bryant
I graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a bachelor\'s degree and departmental honors in Behavioral and Community Health. Through the School of Public Health honors program, I had the opportunity to initiate an independent research study using qualitative methodologies to investigate the experiences of Parkinson\'s patients and identify areas for improvement in patient care. Through my academic and professional careers, I have acquired a valuable background in public health research including, but not limited to, qualitative and quantitative study design and analysis, program evaluation, community-based participatory research, systematic literature, disease outbreak investigations, and clinical case studies. My areas of research interest include neurological and chronic diseases, comprehensive advanced illness planning and care, and research aimed at identifying and addressing health inequities and social and behavioral determinants of health.

In this role, my research efforts aim to develop clinical outcome assessments (COAs) that focus on patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs). This position allows me to support my passion of understanding and capturing what I believe matters most in the healthcare industry – the patient voice. One of the various studies I am involved with is MiCOAS (Migraine Clinical Outcome Assessment System), an FDA-funded project to develop and standardize a core set of endpoints and related COAs for use across migraine clinical trials.My primary responsibilities are to:• Support the creation of data collection materials such as health and demographic questionnaires, case report forms, interview guides, and informed consent documents• Moderate interviews including concept elicitation and cognitive debriefing• Program study materials in VPG’s online software and manage database throughout studies• Analyze and interpret interview data and prepare concise analytic summaries• Assist in the development of conceptual models and measurement frameworks• Present and communicate findings to clients• Manage clinical site contractingKnowledge/Skills: Qualitative Research Design and Implementation • NVivo • Literature Reviews • Scientific Writing • Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Regulatory Compliance • Conceptual Models and Measurement Frameworks • Database Management and Organization
