About Alexandra Zak
Hello! I\'m a rising second-year student at the University of Chicago from the SF Bay Area, double-majoring in Political Science & Data Science. I\'m interested in international policy and political economy, as well as how technology can be utilized in politics and policy research. My coursework so far at UChicago has focused on political economy and theory, as well as computer programming and statistics. I enjoy working collaboratively with teams, writing, and applying my creativity to everything I do! I\'m currently working as a Research Assistant with the Chicago Project on Security and Threats, a research center led by Professor Robert Pape focusing on issues of national security and global political violence. This summer, I’ve been working on obtaining and analyzing data from Jan 6th and incidents of international terrorism, adding to a larger database to study the most significant threats to national security in the United States.
