About Alexandra Welch

After graduating from East Carolina University in May of 2021 with the competitive GPA of 3.92, I began working as an Operations Analyst at Brex. Brex is a FinTech startup that offers financial products and software management solutions to businesses globally. At Brex I went through a Rotational Analyst Program which offered the unique opportunity of working on three Operations teams over an 18 month period and it taught me flexibility along with a wide range of analytical skills.From the Rotational Analyst Program, I transitioned full-time to the Fraud Operations team. The Fraud Ops team was my third rotation so the transition to full-time felt natural. I sharpened my skills on all things fraud during this time in order to protect Brex customers, while also protecting Brex itself from bad actors. I started as a regular analyst and worked my way up to become an associate over the course of around a year and a half. After learning a lot at Brex, I joined Ramp as a Fraud Operations Specialist where I currently serve a similar function of protecting customers while also ensuring Ramp is able to grow as a business without losing money from bad actors.
