About Alexandra van Doren
I am a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School where I served as the Managing Editor for the Michigan Journal of Race & Law, a Student Attorney for the Michigan Innocence Clinic, and the Co-President of the Latinx Law Students Association. I completed my Ph.D. in Comparative Literature at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, specializing in Holocaust Studies in Polish, Spanish, German, and American languages and literatures, as well as a minor in European Union Studies. My dissertation identifies and refashions a critical point of convergence between Poland and Spain’s national histories under the umbrella of Holocaust and Memory Studies.
