JLG Lawyers is a California plaintiff-side employment law firm based in Glendale. We represent employees in wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage claims.
Founder Michael Jaurigue started JLG in 2009 after nearly a decade representing Fortune 500 companies on the defense side at Sheppard Mullin. He had seen what serious preparation looked like. He had also seen how rarely employees had access to it. He opened JLG to change that on his side of the table.
Co-Founder and CEO Alex Tieu built the operational infrastructure. She came to law from the White House under the Clinton and Gore administration, from leadership in real estate through a successful exit at Movoto, from managing roughly two billion dollars in transactions at Keller Williams, and from serving as COO of blockchain company Propy. She is a Managing Partner at Twenty Five Ventures and a Forbes Real Estate Council member. She applied every tool from those years to a law firm that had never been built that way before.
The result is a firm that does not fit the two dominant models in California employment law. We are not the mill that takes every case and settles fast. We are not the boutique that takes thirty matters a year. Cases are evaluated carefully before litigation. Clients at every income level receive the same quality of attention. A worker earning fifteen dollars an hour gets the same pre-litigation review as an executive earning five hundred thousand.
That is the whole point.
