ABOUT ALEX ROWTHORN

I am currently focused on partnering with organisations, including academics and university spinouts, helping them to grow and thrive by providing bespoke software solutions. My expertise is in delivering software as a medical device (SaMD) projects and guiding these ventures from the early stages of ideation through to market commercialisation, leveraging my background in bringing SaMD projects to market. As a scientist with a background in machine learning, I bridge the gap between organisations and technical software development teams, understanding both perspectives. My journey in Cambridge has allowed me to cultivate a robust network of experts and thought leaders across AI, biotech and technology. My academic background includes studies in medicine, chemistry, and machine learning with a focus on drug design at King\'s College London, UCL, and the University of Cambridge. From these pursuits, I have consistently assisted organisations to translate cutting-edge research into commercial success.
