   Alexandra Ramsden is a Director at Brightworks Sustainability, where she leads the decarbonization, energy analysis, and biodiversity/nature-positive service areas and, in partnership with the other Brightworks leaders, drives the firm\'s consulting operations, project delivery, firm strategy and business development efforts.With more than 20 years of experience in energy and sustainability consulting, Alexandra has expertise in collaborating with clients to set goals and achieve aggressive decarbonization, energy, and biodiversity targets, e.g. net-0, at the building, portfolio and/or organizational level. She thrives in the space of leading a team in getting to know organizations\' environmental starting points / baselines, conducting materiality assessments, gathering a wide range of data, running competitor analyses, investigating framework alignments (e.g. SBTI, GHG, local codes and policy) and distilling it all into actionable plans. She applies this process not only to decarbonization planning but also to the increasingly critical area of biodiversity / nature positive.At Brightworks, she leverages this depth of technical knowledge alongside strengths in integrative design, project oversight and team management, to deliver high performance project results and cultivate strong client relationships.Her training in biomimicry and regenerative design, starting more than 15 years ago, allows her to guide project teams to establish spaces which are mutually beneficial with nature and provide valuable connections with local ecosystems, enhancing project value and occupant health. This work is typically conducted in alignment with, and/or informed by, current biodiversity frameworks such as TNFD, GRI for Biodiversity, CDSB, and the SBTI science based targets for nature.Alexandra has also worked on 10 Living Building Challenge (LBC) projects and has deep expertise in the LEED and WELL protocols.
