   Within Rockefellers Good Food Initiative I develop and manage grants that support shifting institutional demand and dollars toward food that supports improved nutritional, economic, equitable and environmental/ climate outcomes for local communities. In this work I develop investments and partnerships that support policy advocacy to remove barriers and incentivize value based purchasing; develop stronger food purchasing standards and the necessary technical assistance to support implementation, and strengthen local efforts and capacity by investing in historically underserved farmers, community-oriented infrastructure and supporting a greater diversity of suppliers and distributors. I specifically focus on our place-based investments that focus on power building within communities to accelerate local priorities and drive regional food system resilience through the lens of institutional demand and unlocking markets for small farmers. Additionally I support sub-portfolios within our Food is Medicine work on improving value-chain infrastructure and CBO implementation; within our Global Food Crisis portfolio on Locally Led Development and Food Banking, Regenerative Agriculture Transition, and our growing Global Regenerative School Meals Portfolio.
