   Art This Way is a creative placemaking program operating under the umbrella of the Fort Wayne Downtown Economic Improvement District, FWDID. Art This Way works to raise funds and liaison between property owners and artists to bring large scale professional art installations into Fort Wayne. In September of 2017 the Art This Way organization held their first Art This Way Art Crawl to raise funds and awareness about this mural and public art installation program. This successful event paired local artists with live bands and local restaurants for a one-of-a-kind speakeasy art crawl through downtown. Art This Way hosted the successful event again in 2018 and 2019. Public art engenders a distinct identity, fosters pride of place & generates economic growth, and Art This Way hopes to continue to install more public art in Fort Wayne for many years to come.
