I started tutoring a few students in early 2018, and we gradually grew our reputation and team to become the largest student-run tuition company in Kent. We are now a limited company and employment agency, working with over 60 tutors across all subjects. I strongly believe in our model and have some great success stories of how peer-to-peer teaching really works, significantly improving both grades and confidence of our students.Building the business from the ground up has taught me how to manage people, maintain strong client relationships, and develop key skills in organisation, marketing, invoicing, and quick problem-solving. I also oversee all tutor recruitment to ensure we continue delivering the best possible experience for our students and their families. My focus remains on sustainable growth while staying true to our core values of affordable, flexible tuition.

ABOUT ALEXANDRA DUNCAN
I am in my 5th year studying Medicine at Cambridge. During my third year (Natural Sciences, BA), I wrote a first class dissertation titled “The Role of Singing in Protecting Against COVID-19”. I conducted a questionnaire with nearly 300 respondents to assess whether symptom severity was dependent on singing experience. In April 2018, I started my own company, The Teenage Tutor, as I wanted to offer a different approach to tutoring for kids from 6 to 16. We now have over 60 teenage tutors covering KS1 to KS4. In my free time, I enjoy singing (achieving Grade 8) and am part of the Christ\'s College Chapel Choir. I am also a 2nd Dan in Karate, and a trained Sensei and Tournament Official.
