Alexandra (preferred name Lexi) is a therapist who works with children, adolescents, and adults seeking a safe space to navigate life\'s challenges. Lexi specializes in working with the neurodiverse community. She supports neurodivergent individuals (Autism, ADHD, AuDHD, Sensory Processing Disorder, among others) struggling with anxiety, burn-out, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, depression, emotion regulation, shame, and difficulty connecting with their authentic sense of self. As a therapist with lived experience of neurodivergence, Lexi is passionate about providing therapy that is responsive and flexible to neurodiversity. Lexi also works with neurotypical children, teens, and adults, and welcomes clients of all backgrounds and experiences. Lexi believes there is no right or wrong way to come to therapy and encourages clients to come as they are. She uses a compassionate yet pragmatic approach to ensure your time in session feels helpful and that you leave each session with tools to reach your goals. Lexi grounds her clinical practice in Person-Centered Therapy while also using a range of evidence-based modalities to meet the needs of each client, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), somatic-based work, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). In addition to her clinical social work training, Lexi holds a Master of Fine Arts in photography and has over a decade of experience in the fine arts. From this experience, she learned to confront challenges creatively, and that by remaining curious and open to different perspectives, we can often find new and deeper forms of connection to ourselves and others.
