ABOUT ALEXANDRA BUSSOM

I’m currently pursuing my M.Ed. In Higher Education Administration at Vanderbilt University and have built hands-on experience in admissions and enrollment-focused environments that are directly tied to recruitment, yield, and student decision-making. Through my work supporting prospective students and families across high-volume recruitment events and daily outreach, I’ve engaged individuals at multiple points in the admission funnel from initial inquiry through application and enrollment, answering questions, resolving concerns in real time, and ensuring a positive experience that supports matriculation.Across my graduate and professional roles, I’ve developed strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills in fast-paced, people-centered settings. I’m comfortable engaging with a high volume of prospective students, quickly identifying their goals and concerns, clearly explaining programs and processes, and helping guide informed enrollment decisions that align both student needs and institutional priorities. I’ve also worked with CRM and data-tracking systems to manage records, prioritize outreach, monitor funnel movement, and support data-informed recruitment strategies.I’m seeking an admissions role where I can build meaningful relationships with prospective students, support recruitment and yield initiatives, and contribute to enrollment goals through consistent outreach, thoughtful communication, and strong service orientation. I’m especially drawn to institutions that value strategic enrollment management, collaboration, and the use of data to understand student behavior and refine recruitment efforts.I bring a coachable mindset, strong work ethic, and comfort working toward measurable enrollment goals in dynamic environments.
