Electronic Technician in the Stena Drilling pool crew on DP3, drill ships, semi-submersible with a NOV Cyberbase drilling systems.Duties:• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair all electronic/electrical equipment including dynamic positioning, power management and distribution, communication, data acquisition, computers & navigational, ESD & safety and NOV drilling package control. • Electrical isolation authority.• Conduct and manage the Planned Maintenance System (PMS). • Maintain drawings, documents, manuals, files, logs and records as required to keep current. • Monitor stock control of electrical and electronic spare parts and consumables. • Ex inspections, Ex remedial work and updating Ex register.• Ensure all relevant safety procedures and practices are adhered to during electrical maintenance work.• Respond to emergency situations as part of the emergency Response Team.

I am an Electro Technical Officer (ETO CoC) with a degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering who has worked in the oil industry for over 22 years. I have worked on DP3 Ultra-Deepwater Drillships/Semi-submersibles and Jackups for companies including National Oilwell Varco (NOV), Dolphin Drilling and COSL Drilling in the positions of ETO, Senior Electronic Technician and Senior Electrician. I have in depth knowledge and experience of installing, maintaining and repairing all electrical systems for vessels, NOV drilling equipment and MUX blowout preventer (BOP). I have experience supervising crew members and 3rd parties both as a department head and when covering the Electrical Supervisor position. I am experienced and qualified in power generation & distribution (up to 15Kv), automated process control and instrumentation systems, preparing and working under the permit to work, preparing risk assessments, and working to company safety policies while ensuring the requirements of regulatory bodies are met. I have surveyed, installed and commissioned equipment and have been the company representative during Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA). I am skilled at diagnosing faults, repairing and maintaining equipment, documenting, writing reports and amending drawings. I have provided in field/workshop training to new start engineers and drilling/ships crews on the operation, fault finding and maintenance of equipment.
