About Alex Cantrell
I’m a senior UX designer who helps teams find clarity when problems are complex, messy, or still taking shape.At Boston Scientific, I work on internal tools that support high-stakes decision-making — designing dashboards and planning experiences that help leaders see what matters, align more quickly, and act with confidence. Much of my work lives behind the scenes, where clarity isn’t about polish, but about shared understanding.Earlier in my career, I spent six years as a design consultant at Insight Enterprises, working across energy, higher education, and conversational systems. That experience taught me how different organizations think - and how often the real design challenge is translating technical complexity into language and structure people can actually use.I’m comfortable moving between research, intuition, and action - doing just enough of each to help teams move forward. I enjoy early-stage work, shaping direction before requirements are fixed, and creating artifacts that help people reason together.Outside of enterprise design, I founded Bach & Boogie, an intergenerational music program that brings babies and seniors together through classical music and movement.
