ABOUT ALEXANDER KOUTELIAS

I am enthusiastic about supporting my community and those in it. I love classical music, opera, visual arts, cultural heritage, and history. Additionally, with 7 years of experience in both traditional donor stewardship as well as data-driven fundraising, I prioritize human relationships which cultivates client and donor loyalty while also leveraging technology and data to maximize returns. I am motivated to support the causes that I cherish and thrive working with colleagues as well as members of the public who are as motivated by the the betterment of society as I am. My diverse nonprofit management experience includes fundraising (annual fund, major gifts, planned gifts, bequests, corporate donations), donor stewardship, donor research, event planning, corporate sponsorship, business partnerships and service exchanges, government relations, box office and customer relationship management, visitor experience, grant-writing, budgeting, personnel scheduling, exhibition design, giving tours, and community lecturing, as well as technical competence in Tessitura, Prodon, Raiser\'s Edge, Kindsight (formerly iWave), WealthEngine, Vendini, Tuxedo, Word Press, Google G Suite and I\'m certified in the Microsoft Office Suite. I have worked in three countries and studied in four different countries, so I bring a nuanced multicultural approach to all projects that I undertake. I am legally permitted to work and live in Canada, the United States, and any of the 27 member states of the European Union. Working in multiple countries has enabled me to develop sharp communication skills with people of all backgrounds and ages, from children to senior citizens, as well as honing in me a sense of appropriate decorum for different publics and occasions. I am comfortable working independently, on a team, and with seasoned professionals, and always with a good sense of humor. J’ai une excellente compétence professionnelle et sociale en français. My professional philosophy necessitates that the organization for which I work be impactful, accessible, and striving to reflect the whole of the city in which it is located. My goal is to not only assist an organization to strengthen its community collaboration, but also to help position missions in a way that their relevance to a variety of publics and stakeholders is evident and welcomed.
