Provides free, confidential business coaching to assist in the ideation, creation, expansion and acquisition of over 900+ private and social organizations in Marquette County; resulting in more than in new capital formation & 134 new businesses launched • Creates and implements various community events throughout the year to grow exposure of Accelerate UP’s services, client successes and the importance of supporting local businesses • Cultivates and maintains relationships, through one-on-one & group meetings, with partnered non-profits, financial & educational institutions, economic developers, influential community members, governmental leaders, service groups, and the media• Coordinates and recruited a group of over 86 enterprising volunteers called the “Accelerate UP Resource Team,” who meet bi-monthly for an interactive client presentation, in order to generate resources and solutions to assist clients in reducing organizational inefficiencies• Ensures up-to-date data entry, report generation, coordinates with non-profit Salesforce consultant to upload previous data and create a simplified entry system to gather the same data in a more efficient manner and generating more attractive project reports• Oversaw all phases of the Impact Study & Strategic Plan including review of RFPs and on-going management of the groups chosen to conduct the study (ARC at UW-STOUT) and Strategic Plan (Susan McGraw Consulting)• Secured two 3-year rounds of funding from the Lundin Foundation, as well as on-going funding provided by Eagle Mine (through the life of the mine), as well as generous support from Upper Peninsula MI-Works• Partnered with Invent@NMU & Innovate Marquette SZ in managing entrepreneurial projects which fall under the Professional Services/Cottage/Retail/Tourism/Forestry/Farming/Manufacturing industries
