ABOUT ALEXANDER KALLENBACH

As a cosmopolitan, inquisitive and energetic young professional, I have experienced design from an early age in my native Germany. I was raised in a creative environment and studied acting whilst at school. I even joined a private theatre group for a few seasons. However, as my family owned a well-established interior design business, I was eventually drawn in that direction. I gained confidence and the ability to complete design projects from the initial briefing through to the client hand over. During this time, I developed a preference for minimal design and furniture classics from the Bauhaus Period, but I can appreciate and value a mix of design styles and eras.I ventured to London in 2018, to broaden my horizons and gain a different perspective and better understanding of the design process. Enrolling on the Interior Design Diploma Course at The Interior Design School in west London, helped me learn a specific range of techniques, comprehensive design skills and valuable experience, before graduating in 2019. My earlier experience of producing residential and commercial interior concepts, extends a step deep knowledge and understanding of products and materials. In addition to space planning, 3D visualisation and material sourcing, I also have a detailed insight of the implementation of interior design concepts. My practical training as an upholsterer is nowcomplemented by my London design education, specifying expertise and delivery of several projects to successful completion.
