ABOUT ALEXANDER DUYA
I am currently in my final year of my BSc in Computer Science at Kingston University, where I am building a strong foundation in software engineering principles and developing technical skills in Java, PHP, React Native (with Expo), TypeScript, and SQL. I also serve as an academic mentor for Computer Science students, offering guidance and support to peers in their academic journey.Recently, I completed a summer internship at BAE Systems DI, where I contributed to a secure government digital project as part of an agile software team. During this experience, I further developed my skills in AWS and Typescript, whilst also delivering production code.Outside of the tech space, I am also an entrepreneur, managing two businesses in the hospitality and fashion industries. As an Airbnb host, I excel in guest bookings, property preparation, financial management, and customer service consistently maintaining a 5-star rating. My goal is to become an innovative software engineer, passionate about developing impactful solutions to real-world challenges. Through my diverse experiences, I have developed strong analytical, organisational, leadership, and networking skills.
