ABOUT ALEXANDER BARCLAY

I\'m an advisor to startup founders focused on enabling Canada\'s most innovative tech founders to transform bold ideas into category-leading businesses.My background is in enterprise and healthcare technology — spanning cloud development, hardware deployment, and large-scale digitization projects across Europe and North America. That foundation in how businesses actually operate shapes how I work with founders today, across business strategy, product, unit economics, market segmentation, financing, and corporate development.At RBCx, I leverage the platform and resources of one of the world\'s largest financial institutions to empower entrepreneurs pursuing growth and innovation.I teach the Venture Capital & Private Equity MBA course at the Schulich School of Business, where I work directly with the next generation of investors and operators. The rigor of curriculum design and ongoing engagement with students keeps me sharp on emerging industry trends and reminds me why I\'m passionate about supporting budding innovators.As a Venture Capital investor, I deployed seed funding to more than two dozen startups across B2B SaaS, AI/ML, Digital Health, FinTech, and Industrial IoT — committing tens of millions of dollars and serving on over a dozen boards.Outside of my day-to-day, I work with founders through Next Canada, Antler, and OneEleven.
