Alex is an urban planner and multi-modal transportation planner with experience in public transit systems, multi-modal transportation, and airport planning. His career has developed from a life-long personal passion for non-automotive transportation options. Leading operational planning and service start-up for Sound Transit’s first BRT program- Led the agency’s first-ever procurement of a contracted service provider — fundamentally changing how the agency delivers transit operations. Navigated complex regulatory, legal, and organizational constraints to establish new contracting frameworks, clarify agency roles and risk allocation, and move the program from concept to implementation- Developed strategies and recommendations for future operations and passenger experience, including the evaluation and selection of real-time information, CAD/AVL dispatch technology systems, and interim service during construction.
