I am currently the Head of Engineering / MFT Technical Leader for Airbus’ Hydrogen Systems organisation.A Senior Engineering Management position within Airbus. This is the technical leadership role accountable for delivery of the complete design engineering portfolio across hydrogen systems used on future products, demonstrators and test activity. Operational, technical, leadership of a multi-functional team of around 200, supported by a delegated transverse engineering team of around 10 direct operational reports. Leading product design and development, technology maturation, multi-systems integration in an aircraft context, design for safety and certification. Aircraft level trade studies.Working closely with programme leadership in prioritisation, budgeting and resource management.

Experienced and highly motivated engineer and leader. Strong technical background in aircraft propulsion and aircraft systems design, alongside hydrogen and cryogenic technology research and development. Experience across component definition to integrated architecture development, test and certification.Currently the Head of Engineering for Hydrogen Systems for Airbus. Operational leader for approx 200-strong multi-functional division.I manage the development and selection of aircraft architectures, and lead teams to develop the suite of systems engineering deliverables to support future product development, certification and EIS. This includes requirements creation, concept selection, FMEA, structured V&V planning, as well as safety system design. I also have accountability for demonstrator and test activity within this area.Six years of experience in design of both cryogenic liquid hydrogen and high pressure gaseous hydrogen fuel systems for ground and aerospace applications.Experience in hands-on development engineering, testing and commissioning of hydrogen products.Chartered Engineer. Previous start-up Chief Engineer. Successful start-up and large corporate experience. Airbus and previous Roll-Royce business high potential and Airbus recognised DOA technical signatory.Previously to this role, I was Chief Engineer for NanoSUN Ltd, a start-up developing revolutionary hydrogen refuelling technologies. I was accountable for product concept generation, design and approval, as well as in-service support and product safety. I led a diverse range of engineers across different disciplines to effectively deliver revolutionary products, whilst enabling personal and professional development of the team.I have held previous senior technical management positions within Civil Aerospace, working for Rolls-Royce Plc. I had technical ownership for two sub-systems on the company\'s flagship Trent XWB project. I held responsibility for development, continuous improvement, safety and delivery to cost of the business plan.Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.Strong academic background and I graduated from the University of Oxford in June 2015 with a First-Class Masters Degree in Engineering Science and the award for best Masters Thesis.I am strongly challenge driven, ensuring project objectives are always achieved on-time and the results are communicated clearly and effectively to all relevant stakeholders upon completion. I work well under pressure and enjoy adapting and developing to match fast-paced and rapidly changing work environments.
