I like to cook, my favorite author is Bill Bryson, and my cat is named after Batman.I have robust agile experience delivering value in the Insurance and Telecomm industries across multiple products such as Benefits Displays, Web Portals, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), Internet of Things (IoT), and Machine to Machine (M2M).At Northeast Delta Dental, I\'ve evolved from a Business Analyst into a Product Owner Analyst as the needs of the role shifted during our recent Agile transformation. My responsibilities include managing two backlogs - one for the legacy front end systems that generate benefits to users, and another for a renovation effort modernizing the EDI system. I elicit, prioritize, and adapt to customer needs in marketing, customer service, accounting, and more. The range of initiatives has given me exposure to backend, middleware, and front ends systems. Much like at Verizon, I have the opportunity to not only work with internal teams, but external parties as well, giving me exposure to a wide range of stakeholders. I\'m also very engaged in company culture, participating in the volunteerism committee, employee newsletter, team trainings, Lunch & Learns, and I constantly pursue individual professional development opportunities.While at Verizon I led a variety of projects in segments such as billing, distribution, and fraud & legal. Projects I worked on ranged from a month long to over two years. I had to manage and delegate work to a team of analysts, developers, and testers while performing the business analysis and project management duties within my hybrid role. I was also present and active in their transition to Agile, too.I completed a handful of foundational projects when I attended Marist College (Go Red Foxes!) such as a system design for a small plumbing company, a database for a used car dealership, and a project management deliverable for an e-commerce website. Marist\'s quality liberal arts education really fleshed out the soft skills that I still use today, mainly empathy, teamwork, relationship building, and critical thinking.I was very fortunate to gain work experience in a technical support role while studying abroad in Australia. The role taught me many technical and customer support skills that I was able to later use and grow as a FIOS Call Center Technician at Verizon. I did not, however, manage to teach a wild kangaroo how to box while Down Under.
