Affina Biotechnologies specializes in developing measurements of enzyme activity, binding interactions and concentrations of molecules in biofluids. We have many years of experience working with label-free binding based on surface plasmon resonance (SPR). The services are supported by instruments from Biacore, Sensiq (now Pall) and BioNavis. Label-free assay development is complemented by fluorescence-based techniques (FP, FRET, fluorescence spectroscopy), ELISA and protein production.

ABOUT ALEXANDER VINITSKY
Experience in protein biochemistry and enzymology spans over 20 years in academia and pharmaceutical industry. Expert at developing assays and screens for measuring binding interactions and activities. Prior to founding Affina Biotechnologies and co-founding ARVYS Proteins held a faculty position at the Mount Sinai Medical School and senior staff positions at Bristol-Myers Squibb and Palatin Technologies. Among achievements are contributions to the improved understanding of the mechanism and functions of regulated protein degradation and to characterization of proteins involved in Alzheimer\'s disease. Directed purification and characterization of protein targets for potential therapeutics and developed assays for screening of compounds against those drug targets.Specialties: Expert in biophysical/biochemical characterization of proteins and peptides and in assay development.
