ABOUT ALEXANDER SKENE
I have build capacity in schools with assessment and evaluation policies such as Growing Success and Creating Pathways to Success. I have also help support student confidence and proficiency as a Formateur for the DELF examinations by training teachers in Common European Framework of Reference and coaching them to embed these principles in their instructional practice. I see myself as a reflective person who often is able to consider the bigger purpose in new initiatives and will help colleagues understand how evolving their practise will engage students in learning. I enjoy the mentoring aspects of being an educator, both to students and to colleagues and how we all can interact within a learning community. In the classroom, I believe that students should be exposed to authentic situations to build their confidence to be able to use language in a variety of situations. I also believe that Cultural Appreciation is important for a learner in the 21st Century, and to facilitate this, I believe that students should be given the opportunity to travel as part of their education.
