I have served as General Counsel for the Railroad Commission of Texas since 2016. The Commission has jurisdiction over oil and gas development and production, pipelines, natural gas utilities, and mining in Texas. In this role I advise the three publicly elected Commissioners and their staffs, the Executive Director and Leadership Team on policy, regulatory, operational, enforcement and compliance matters. I also provide advice and counsel as to litigation, ethics, legislation, and administrative law matters. During 2019 I have acted as Interim Director of the Surface Mining and Reclamation Division.
