I strive to be a seasoned, experienced, and example engineer, one that leads from the front with integrity, vision, humility, and compassion. I believe that daily learning and teaching are my responsibilities, mentorship through osmosis should be ongoing 24/7, and that leaders must be relentless and passionate about providing their time to their team. A leader’s relationship with their coworker should mirror that of teacher and scholar, vice senior and subordinate. “Never above or below, but always beside” is critical to the success of all, and the success of their organization. My career as an engineer spans more than three decades. From staff engineer to a VP of national firms with an international presence, the breadth and depth of my experiences include geotechnical, structural, materials, transportation, and site engineering. My passion is forensic engineering; I’ve consulted and worked on projects in each of these five disciplines, in nearly every market sector.I consider relationships vital, almost life giving, to every aspect of our existence – both personal and professional. I believe that an individual\'s spirit - as inspired and driven by their leaders, mentors, peers AND their own WILL – that spirit is the force multiplier and single most important motivator for developing organizational cohesion, discretionary effort, and remarkable achievements by all every day.Prior to licensure as a Professional Engineer, I served as a U.S. Marine Corps Infantry Officer, forward deployed during combat, major & low intensity conflicts, humanitarian missions, counterinsurgency operations and police actions in Europe, the Far East, Caribbean, Africa, and the Middle East. I’ve had the privilege to command Marines in each of the three Marine Divisions, and to serve our country on six of the seven continents.
