ABOUT ALEXANDER SANTELLI

I help organizations understand people more clearly and act more intelligently when the stakes are high. As a Principal at Navigator Ltd, I lead research and strategic advisory work for clients navigating complex public affairs challenges, reputational risk, stakeholder tension, and fast-moving environments where getting it wrong is costly. What makes my approach different is where it comes from. I hold a Ph.D. in personality and social psychology and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Columbia University, where I studied judgment, motivation, and decision-making. That training gives me a lens most consultants don\'t have — I think about what drives people beneath stated opinion, not just what the topline numbers say. Over 20+ years I\'ve built a career at the intersection of behavioural science, public opinion research, and strategic communications. I design and lead quantitative and qualitative research programs — polling, stakeholder studies, message testing, reputation research, focus groups, in-depth interviews — and translate what we find into language and strategy that senior leaders can actually use. Clients come to me when they need clarity before a difficult decision, when they want to understand how an audience will react, or when they need evidence to sharpen a communications, policy, or reputation strategy. I\'m also a builder. I\'ve stood up research practices from scratch, developed teams, created new products, and pushed hard on how AI can make research faster, sharper, and more useful without sacrificing rigor.
