About Alexander Patov

I have a passion for working with policy and economic development projects to progress business and societal goals. Currently I am an analyst at the University of Michigan Solar Car Team, and work towards securing funding as well asl managing budgeting for multiple engineering divisions, with the intention of creating the most efficient solar car. My coursework focuses on a rigorous development of mathematical logic and economic concepts. And separately different political and economic policies and how they affect the implementation of economic goals. I have also worked as a building manager at the Michigan Union which has supported me in project management and the ability to work with people towards a common goal. This has also been a significant support for my work in Solar Car, while meeting with prospective partners and working with other members to progress the goals of the High Voltage and Microsystem divisions. Sepearetly, I have look to be involved in student life by having an impact there. One way that I am involved is through the Student Organization Funding Committee as part of Central Student Government. There we manage a dollar budget and appropriate the funds to student organizations that request funding after reviewing and discussing their applications for funding. Furthermore, I am interested in getting exposure to other industries that concentrate on economic development, growth, and the role of government policy, with various industries considered.
