About Alexander Amado

I am a senior at Purdue University, double-majoring in Political Science and Law & Society and minoring in Classical Studies. I currently serve as President of the Purdue Alumni Student Experience (PASE), Purdue\'s largest student organization with over members. In this role, I manage a 30-member student board and oversee programming that connects students with alumni through events and networking opportunities. I also serve as Secretary of Purdue’s Delta Omega chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society. Professionally, I currently intern with the Purdue for Life Foundation, where I support student engagement, corporate communications, and nonprofit management initiatives. I also intern with the Lafayette Police Department, where I participate in ride-alongs, learn about community policing initiatives, and gain firsthand insight into the daily responsibilities of law enforcement. Through this experience, I ha ve developed strong observation and communication skills and gained clearer insight into potential career paths. Previously, I interned with the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) in Washington, D.C, where I supported policy research, tracked legislation, and contributed to advocacy efforts related to trade and manufacturing. Before coming to Purdue, I spent four summers as a sailing instructor in Maine, where I built leadership, adaptability, and conflict resolution skills.
