ABOUT ALEXANDER VIEIRA
I’m a purpose-driven student-athlete and aspiring social entrepreneur, passionate about building solutions to some of the world’s toughest challenges. My global background—born in Angola, holding South African and Portuguese nationality, having lived in four countries and travelled to 28—shapes my commitment to impact-focused leadership through meaningful initiatives.As the first student and co-founder of Brave Generation Academy (BGA), I’ve helped pioneer a learner-driven, flexible education model that has expanded access to learning globally.I currently study Political Economy & History at the University of California, Berkeley, while competing as a member of the Cal Varsity Rugby program, continuing to develop leadership on and off the field. I’ve represented Portugal internationally at the U18 and U20 levels and previously captained the high-performance rugby program at Stellenbosch Academy of Sport.Alongside this, I remain deeply passionate about music, creativity, and service — and how these intersect with education, community, and leadership.My long-term focus is to build ventures and initiatives that expand opportunity, empower individuals, and create lasting social impact.
