ABOUT ALEXANDER LIMPER
As a Postdoctoral Researcher at Aachener Verfahrenstechnik (AVT), I apply my engineering knowledge and skills to develop novel and efficient manufacturing technologies in metal laser powder bed fusion. This is a cutting-edge field of additive manufacturing that can create high-surface substrates for (electro-)chemical reactors and enable scale-up for pilot scale applications. I have a doctoral degree and over seven years of research experience in chemical process engineering, specializing in membrane reactors, polymer and polylectrolyte membranes, and optical and sorptive characterization techniques. I have also gained experience in CAD construction and medical device design as a student assistant at AME - Institute of Applied Medical Engineering. I am passionate about solving real-world problems and improving our quality of life through science and technology, and I enjoy collaborating in diverse and interdisciplinary teams.
