ABOUT ALEXANDER LEKAN
I am an MD/PhD student (M3) at Georgetown University School of Medicine.I completed my PhD in Tumor Biology in January 2026 and have now returned to medical school. My PhD focused on pancreatic cancer immunotherapy, specifically identifying ways to modify the pancreatic cancer tumor micro environment to enhance activated leukocyte infiltration. I graduated from Georgetown University in May 2020 cum laude with a B.S. in Biology, concentrating in Biochemistry, Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. I hope to pursue a career in cancer immunotherapy research, working to translate laboratory based discoveries into therapeutic options for patients.
