I shadow orthopedic surgeon Dr. Peter Callander both in-clinic and in the operating room. When in-clinic, I discuss X-rays and MRI\'s with Dr. Callander to determine patient needs and then sit in on patient appointments. I also assist with paperwork and preparing cortisone shots. In the operating room, I scrub in to observe hip and knee surgeries which allows me to study human anatomy and physiology.
