About Alexander Gandolfo
Alexander has had the opportunity to work as a Product Assistant for Macy’s private brands at MMG. He started off with the Whim Collection by Martha Stewart for six months then was reassigned to Charter Club where he handled both the sheet business and it’s fashion bedding collection Damask Designs. In February 2020, Alexander made another transition handling Utility bedding for all three Private Brands at the time: Martha Stewart, Charter Club, & Hotel that are all curated to different demographics with a customer first mindset. In September 2020, Alexander started a new role as an Assistant Buyer for Collections Bedding where he managed back to school focused brands in Nautica, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, & more. He was promoted to be the Associate Buyer for Toys November 1st, 2021. Alexander started off managing the Infant/Toddler/Preschool category from November 2021 to February 2022. Alexander currently manages the Wheels & Action category that has seen tremendous growth with a keen focus on new customer acquisition launching many iconic brands. Alexander is also a member of the La Voz ERG that focuses on empowering the Latino community.Alexander was appointed to be a People Leader for several colleagues on his team, participating as a coach for D&I new vendors, and launched an exclusive new Toy Line in May 2023 for Macys called “Genesis” hyper focused on all product development embracing the fashion tentpoles he has seen in the market. Also, launched the number one franchise of all time Pokémon at Macy’s. 9 Trend Outposts: Lightyear 22, Jurassic World 22, Black Panther 22, Super Mario 23, Transformers 23, Outdoor 24, Sonic 24, Minecraft 25. Alexander was promoted to be the Director, Buyer for the Toy department at Macy’s on June 2nd, 2025 which happened to also be his parents 40th wedding anniversary! Alex’s parents Laurene & Jack Gandolfo had long careers within the Macy’s company.
